SMS and Text Messaging Terms

Effective date: 2 July 2026 | Last updated: 2 July 2026

These Messaging Terms explain how text messaging works with Pocket Leadz. They cover two different kinds of messages, and it matters which one you are reading about. By providing a mobile number and opting in, you agree to these Messaging Terms. Standard message and data rates may apply.

1. Two kinds of text messages

(a) Messages from Pocket Leadz to you. As our customer, you may receive account and service text messages from us, such as verification codes, security alerts, and important notifications about your account.

(b) Messages you send to your leads. Pocket Leadz lets you send your own SMS, auto-replies, and follow-up sequences to your leads and contacts using your own connected messaging account (for example Twilio). For those messages, you are the sender. You, not Pocket Leadz, are responsible for obtaining the consent the law requires, identifying yourself, and honouring opt-outs, as set out in our Terms and under applicable law (including the TCPA in the United States and the Spam Act 2003 (Cth) in Australia).

2. Opt-in and consent

You will only receive recurring text messages after you opt in, for example by giving your mobile number and agreeing to be contacted. Where you send messages to your own leads, it is your responsibility to capture and keep records of each recipient's consent before any message is sent.

3. Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on your activity and settings. For example, you may receive a message when an event occurs on your account, or your leads may receive auto-replies and a set number of follow-up messages based on the sequence configured.

4. Costs

Pocket Leadz does not charge you for receiving text messages, but your mobile carrier's standard message and data rates may apply. If you send messages to your leads through your own connected provider, that provider (for example Twilio) charges you separately for each message, plus any carrier and registration fees.

5. How to stop messages (STOP)

You can cancel text messages at any time. Reply STOP to any message to opt out. You may also reply QUIT, CANCEL, UNSUBSCRIBE, or END. After you opt out, you will receive one confirmation message and then no further marketing texts to that number. Pocket Leadz also detects these replies on messages sent through the Service and automatically stops further automated messages and follow-up sequences to that number.

6. How to get help (HELP)

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at support@pocketleadz.com. If you are a lead who received a message and want to know who sent it or stop hearing from them, the sender is the business that captured your details; you can reply STOP to opt out, and we will help that business respond.

7. Supported carriers and delivery

Messaging is supported on major mobile carriers, but carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your connected provider and on the carriers, and is not guaranteed.

8. Timing and quiet hours

The Service applies sending-time controls so automated messages are sent within reasonable hours for the recipient. You remain responsible for observing all applicable time-of-day, quiet-hours, and timezone restrictions for the messages you send.

9. Changing or deactivating your number

If you change or deactivate your mobile number, you must update your account and stop sending to numbers that may have been reassigned, so that messages are not sent to someone who did not opt in.

10. Privacy

Your information is handled in line with our Privacy Policy at https://pocketleadz.com/privacy. Message content you send to your leads is processed through your own connected provider account under your relationship with that provider.

11. Changes to these Messaging Terms

We may update these Messaging Terms from time to time. The current version is always available at https://pocketleadz.com/sms-terms with its effective date. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Messaging Terms.
